SC91- Merry’s Hubby

Our family doesn’t “do” Santa. The way we put it to other families is that Santa isn’t “invited” to our home. We prefer “family celebrations,” and that leaves Santa more time and resources to bless others. It’s a nice way to answer the, “What is Santa bringing you” without crushing another child’s fantasy.

That being said, I wrote a children’s novel, Plotting Santa. It’s in the final stages of editing and the illustrator is getting sample images ready for submission to publishers. We’re very excited. In Plotting Santa, his wife’s name is “Merry” hence the name of this card.

This card was made using the “Cracked Glass” technique. I looked for a few videos on how to do it, and finally found one that is very straightforward and easy to hear/understand to show what I did.  LOVED doing it.  I have a PSX church stamp coming that I can’t wait to try this with!

After a ton of remaking, Sketch 91 is DONE. Onto the next!

  1. Very lovely! We don’t “do” Santa, either, but that image is such a lovely one! If that was more what Santa was like, then maybe we would be more inclined to invite him in 😀
