SC98- Meaning In Your Life

This is card one of my UIU (use it up) challenge for myself. I am, on those particular cards, only using scraps. This time I decided to try to branch out into new color combos– bold, daring, modernish.

I think it’s just ugly. But, it used up scraps (that would have looked better with gray/black/and/or/lime) and it made it interesting anyway.

TWO more cards and I’ll be done with the 100th sketch challenge!

Ingredients

Stamps- Unity KOM (September I think) and sentiment for River City Rubber Works.

Ink- SU Basic Black, and SU Craft White

Paper- SU Poppy, SU designer gray paper, Martha Stewart stripes, and scraps

Accessories- Lime Green rickrack and SU silver circle brads

Tools- Paper Trimmer, Scoreboard, SU Decorative Label Punch, embossing powder, heat gun

Adhesive- ATG tape and SU Dimensionals

  1. I think the bold lines and the whimsical circles go well with the sentiment. The flowers show the “new hope” of each day. And the “circle brad” is like the “wax seal” of authority. How’s that for a cheesy analysis.

I agree with Erin. I kinda’ like it too. 🙂

  2. I so love seeing the sketch and then seeing what you do with it. I like the slanted cut of the front side of the card. I like that it could be used so many different ways.
