From Nature’s Sketchbook…

This is card number two for the make and take I’m doing on Friday. I wanted something that looked difficult but went together nice and quickly. This fits the bill. The rose is made up of my old dictionary from my school years… ahh… good times. I did two versions, one with the corner torn and smooched, and one without. I like ’em both.

I made the flowers by layering…

SU Large Flower
Su 1.75″ Circle
Su Large Flower
Su 1.75″ circle
4 SU butterfly punches.

I punched each, sponged with Baja Breeze, and then a bit of soft suede around the edges, wrinkled them up in a ball, unwrinkled, layered in that order, used the crop-a-dile to punch a hole through the center, and put a bit of artichoke seam binding on the back for a leaf. Hint: It’s easier to layer the paper on the brad, get it all set, then put on the ribbon.

Only one more card to go!
