Birthday Blooms

chautona-card14Okay so this is a pretty simple card. I get that. But see, that paper back there? That was some time-consuming paper to make. My son found this special ink “Suminagashi Ink” and a Dick Blick video for how to use it

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J410yQ7PI1E

So I bought the ink, spent 35 bucks for ten HUGE sheets of that copperplate paper, and we played. We learned what we did right or wrong, and we’ll try again later today or tomorrow. But it was fun. When I got done, I did NOT want to cover this card with a bunch of other stuff. I wanted that paper to SHINE.

So… Happy birthday! And as for the picture quality… I’ll figure out this bells and whistles camera some day.
