SC266- Poinsettia Christmas

chautona-SC266aYes, I know it’s April and Christmas is long off, but I wanted to color these things and then, of course, I needed to turn them into a card, so here you have it. One poinsettia card all done. I did the OMS again on it and man, I love that stuff.

I had a really hard time making the last element of this sketch work. I didn’t want to put that dove on there. In fact, I’ll probably pull it off eventually, but it’s on for the stupid sketch. I would rather have the Merry Christmas down below where the dove is and have nuttin on the word panel there. Oh well.

And, that image panel was cut with SU’s oval accent’s clear die (a “Bigz”). I cut the ends off. I also cut off the ends by using a 2.5″ circle punch and while it didn’t work for this, it looks great rotated. Stupid in the “right” direction, but great rotated. Gonna have to blog about that.

sc266Oh, and guess what I discovered tonight? I’ve ALREADY DONE THIS SKETCH. I just hadn’t named it 266, so I didn’t think I had. And then when I went to save it, there it was. So I didn’t have to do it after all. UGH.

Don’t remember what stamp that Poinsettia is, but I think Stacy (JBGreendawn) sent it to me, so maybe she’ll let me know again. I got it back before I was smart enough to keep the images labeled correctly.

Stamps: No idea what that poinsettia is. The sentiment is SU Cardinal something
Paper: PTI White, Amuse Wood, and MME Christmas of some kind
Ink: SU White Craft, and Versamark
Accessories: Embossing powder, SU scalloped oval punch and clear oval accent die
Techniques: Heat Embossing, colored pencils, OMS
Difficulty (1-Easy 5-Advanced): 2- because it’s a pain to find a piece that doesn’t work. LOL
